Governors

The Governors work together with the Headteacher and staff of the school. Governors attend two formal meetings each term, and are also members of subcommittees. The Governing Body includes representatives from the Local Education Authority, the Parish Council, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff. Elections for Parent Governors are held when a term of office ends. The Governing Body has a specific responsibility for helping to raise standards. They also control and manage the school’s budget. Governors form a link between the school and the local community, whilst the Headteacher leads the day-to-day management.
